Skoda has a track record of taking shared Volkswagen parts and adding its flair for practicality and value on top. However, now Skoda is turning things up a notch by bringing us a new flagship electric SUV which promises to be the plushest Skoda yet. Enter the Peaq which as the name suggests will be Skoda’s new range-topping model featuring seven seats and plenty of creature comforts.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Skoda Peaq. • This new seven-seater will be the largest electric Skoda yet, sitting above the Elroq And Enyaq in the line-up • As Skoda’s new flagship, the Peaq promises to be spacious and packed with features such as Sonos sound system, a panoramic roof and there’s even the option of massaging seats – fancy! • With up to 370 miles of range • Due to arrive towards the end of 2026 • Expected to cost around £50,000

Design and models available
At nearly 4.9 meters long the Peaq will be no shrinking violet, and Skoda says unlike many seven-seaters where the third row is only suitable for small children, even adults will be able to fit in the back. While the design has been disguised here, we do know there will be a glossy black front design which Skoda is calling a ‘TechDeck Face’. This will have LED backlighting to compliment the LED matrix headlights. The Peaq will be available in 10 paint colours and there will also be a selection of wheel sizes and designs to choose from.

Interior and tech
Skoda has stretched the distance between the front and rear wheels out as much as possible to maximise interior space and the Peaq will have the largest boot available in its current model range. We’ve not seen the inside yet, but we have been told there will be five different designs. Initially a range of leather-free materials will be available with optional leather upholstery arriving later.
All cars will come with ambient lighting and a heated steering wheel, plus Skoda has added its largest panoramic roof of any Skoda yet which you can change from clear to opaque via the car’s settings. There’ll be an Android-based infotainment system powering the 13.6-inch vertical touch-screen, while the driver gets their own 10-inch display and the option of a head-up display. Additionally, you’ll be able to ramp up the comfort factor with the optional Relax Package which adds massage seats with electrically adjustable leg rests, front pillows, a fold out table, a Sonos sound system and a wellness app which can adjust the climate control, lighting and massage settings to fit your mood. The Peaq will also be vehicle-to-load (V2L) compatible so you can charge other devices using the car’s battery.

Batteries/range
There will be three powertrain options – 60, 90 and an all-wheel drive 90X. While Skoda hasn’t yet revealed the Peaq’s full specifications, we do know the 90 and 90X versions will have an official range of just under 400 miles and they will be able to charge from 10 to 80 per cent in about 28 minutes. Entry-level models will have around 200 horsepower while range-topping versions will have closer to 300 horsepower to play with.

Price and release
Pricing and exact release dates have not been confirmed, the Peaq is due to arrive by the end of the year, and it is likely to cost around £50,000. Yes, Skoda is not as budget-friendly as it once was, but this price is in line with Peugeot’s E-5008 and considerably less than the larger Kia EV9.

What other cars from Skoda are due this year?
The introduction of the Peaq will see Skoda double its electric offering this year as the Epiq will also join the existing Enyaq and Elroq models.
What other upcoming cars will this compete with?
There aren’t many all-electric seven-seaters, but the Skoda Peaq shares its foundations with the Volkswangen ID. Buzz which in long-wheelbase form has room for seven. Other competitors include the larger Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Kia EV9 or the smaller Peugeot E-5008.
