Auto Trader is running a new series of retailer masterclasses featuring new presenters who will share brand new content, in venues across the UK.

 

This round will focus on the changes in consumer buying behaviour, and how these impact our industry and the car buying process. We’ll also be sharing some best practice advice and highlighting the marginal gains to help you adapt and succeed in today’s changing digital marketplace.

 

Our insight team will demonstrate that ‘retailers’ who are leading the way are using data to guide their business decisions, understanding the importance of sourcing desirable stock and pricing to the market, and disposing of overage extra space/stock as needed.

 

 

What will be covered?

Consumer behaviour has changed dramatically, driven by the accelerating pace of change in digital, our expectations are constantly increasing and this is changing retailing across all sectors. We demand instant and transparent information in all our experiences, both online and offline, and the opinions of others seriously impacts our decision to purchase or not. Meanwhile, the automotive industry has been slow to evolve to these changes, and therefore need to adapt to keep up with consumer expectations. Therefore, we will address:

 

  • how to use data to inform your stock and pricing policies;

  • creating a seamless on and off line consumer experience;

  • the importance of transparency in creating trust for your business and your stock.

 

We have developed these bespoke, free sessions to help retailers stay competitive in today’s changing digital marketplace.
