With restrictions in place to some degree across the UK, your online forecourt is your only forecourt. Advertising on Auto Trader is free in December1, so why not take advantage and advertise any stock you hold so it’s visible to buyers. Many customers are choosing to take the opportunity to maximise their online visibility and upgrade to a higher package too.

As our CEO Nathan recently announced, we will not charge any advertising fees in December. This presents our retailer partners with a great opportunity to make sure all their stock is on Auto Trader. To make the most of this opportunity, upgrade before the end of November. Please note that to take advantage, you must commit to any upgrades through January to receive December free of charge. Our 30-day cancellation terms still apply.

Stock not advertised is invisible 75% of the time2

If you aren’t advertising vehicles you stock on Auto Trader, they’re almost invisible to buyers. More buyers are coming to Auto Trader than ever. In fact, 27% more buyers came to Auto Trader between July – September this year compared to last year3. 4.9 million buyers come to Auto Trader every month who don’t shop anywhere else4 and we’re the 12th most viewed website in the UK5.

53% of January buyers research in December

Our latest research shows that 53% of customers who buy in January do their research in December*. We’re also launching our new consumer marketing campaign on Boxing day, which is traditionally our busiest day of the year. Success in the new year will depend on what you do now, so get your stock in front of buyers, build your pipeline, and you’re set for success.

1 December free advertising package refers to all elements of your advertising package, including contracted stock upgrades, excluding AT PPC & PPC Boost, Top Spot, Dealer Auction and pay per usage products. Additional Stock booked after 4th November will be charged at your usual rate. Market Extension will be charged at 50%. Any downgrade or cancellation request received before 1st January 2021 shall mean that the free advertising offer is removed and December advertising shall be charged in full from the date the downgrade or cancellation request was received.
