Coming Soon | New Ducati Hypermotard V2

New V2-powered Hypermotard is Ducati’s most extreme supermoto yet!

Given it takes place on Italian soil you’d expect Ducati to go large at EICMA and, sure enough, the brand has plenty of new bikes to show off. We’ve already reported on the Panigale V4 R and Monster, a new Multistrada V4 Rally and more besides also coming as part of the 2026 model blitz. Along with this, the new Hypermotard V2.
This joins the existing single-cylinder Hypermotard 698 Mono, combining that bike’s sense of minimalist supermoto lairiness with Ducati’s latest 890cc V2 engine. And if you’re worried that equates to a more sensible and civilised Hypermotard experience fear not, the amount of wheelie and stoppie action in the official promo pictures suggesting the new V2 has just as much difficulty keeping both wheels on the ground at the same time as the Mono!
The 120 horsepower of the new V2 makes this the most powerful Hypermotard yet, the fact this new one also weighs as much as 13kg less than the outgoing V2 likely to make that extra performance feel even more dramatic. There’s plenty of tech to make that power delivery feel as civilised or exciting as you like as well, the six-axis IMU controlling cornering ABS adjustable in four steps, traction and wheelie control, Engine Brake Control and the latest Ducati Quick Shifter 2.0.
As before there’s also a fancier SP version, which gets a carbon mudguard, lighter forged wheels, Öhlins forks and monoshock in place of the standard bike’s KYB parts, a lithium battery, fancier Brembo M50 front calipers and loud and proud SP graphics just to hammer the point home. In short, a bike that takes having fun very seriously indeed!
