We believe including reviews created by consumers will further improve your adverts performance. Research has shown that having negative reviews increases number of pages viewed, time on the website and conversions.

Research has also shown that when a retailer is proactive and engages in collecting reviews they will receive better reviews. We encourage you to send review requests in Portal, alongside responding to any negative reviews.

Keep sending review requests to customers

This is your opportunity to boost your rating by sending review requests to customers who you know have had an excellent service.

Your chance to preview - before it goes live

For the first 30 days you will be able to see the reviews before they go live. This initial 30 day period is to help you familiarise yourself with the reviews received. We recommend you take this time to reply to reviews, so when they go live on Auto Trader you demonstrate how quick and customer focused you are. From 12th December 2016 all reviews will go live as soon as they pass our moderation rules.

Reply or Challenge

Just as with reviews created by sending requests to verified customers, you are able to reply to the reviews. Use this as an opportunity to thank customers, resolve issues and further promote your customer service. You can also ‘challenge’ a review, when you believe the review is fake, e.g. not from a consumer who has interacted with your business.
